The thing I regret the most in my business
I don’t share this frequently, because honestly it’s not the best look for someone who sets up systems for a living…I didn't have any type of lead gen system in place until almost 4 years into my business.

I can make all the excuses here… I was busy (I was!). I was doing good work. I was getting clients - here and there through referrals and word of mouth, and honestly, for a while that felt like enough.
But those first few years were also full of anxiety. The kind where you don't know exactly what next month is going to look like. I told myself that was just what running a service based business felt like which feels so silly to even be typing right now.
Because it absolutely should not have been, and didn’t need to be, what running a service based business should feel like.
I think about that version of me a lot, actually. Not with judgment (ok, not all the time with judgment…I’m my harshest critic but I’m working on that!) I was doing the best I could with what I understood at the time. But I do wish someone had pulled me aside and said: this isn't something you figure out eventually, once you have more time or more clarity. It's infrastructure. And the earlier it's in place, the less of your energy gets spent stressing over…everything.
